Nationwide Audio Visual is pleased to welcome Brock McGinnis CTS to the newly created role of Vice President, Sales and Operations.
“I’m really excited to be here,” says McGinnis. “The team has a lot of experience and they’ve been terrific to work with. Nationwide is exceptionally well positioned for both growth and diversification as the economy starts to ramp back up.”
“I’ve wanted to work with Brock for a long time,” says Shawn Quinlan, Nationwide’s President and CEO. “He knows what it takes to successfully grow a business and our personalities and skill sets complement each other perfectly. Having him on board is allowing me to focus on our core customers and large-project work, which is already paying dividends.”
“I’ve been consulting with Shawn for over a year,” says McGinnis, “And here full time since August. He’s that rare owner who’s willing, as he often says, to ‘check his ego at the door’ in order to take the business to the next level. The whole team is on board and we’ve been working incredibly hard to ensure we’re ready for the challenges and opportunities of the post-pandemic market.”
McGinnis is well known in the audiovisual industry for his 20-year tenure leading the highly regarded integration division of Westbury National. A frequent contributor to AV conferences, publications, podcasts and social media, he has served on the Board of the Music Industries Association of Canada as well as InfoComm and AVIXA committees and councils in the U.S. In 2017 McGinnis became the first Canadian inducted into the System Contractor’s Hall of Fame.
Nationwide Audio Visual has been family-owned and operated since 1962, with Quinlan at the helm since 2000. Long a leader in the healthcare market, 2020 saw Nationwide complete large AV integration projects for Mackenzie Health’s new Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Other notable 2020 work included the new Union Station Bus Terminal for Metrolinx and York Region’s large new Administrative Annex development. Projects currently underway include the new West Park Healthcare Centre, the new Michael Garron Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital.
